Gina Priscilla Shelby-Vega

Gina “Priscilla” Shelby of Del Valle, Texas passed away surrounded by her loving family and friends on November 20 at the age of 32. They were born on November 8, 1990 in Austin, TX to Donald Hal Shelby and Regina Gama. She grew up in Waco, TX, and later move to Del Valle, TX to be with her loving husband and children.

They are preceded in death by their son Angel Vega, father Donald Hal Shelby, Brother Hal Alexis Shelby and grandmother Minnie Bell Shelby.

They are survived by their husband Amilcar, sons Kaliber, Ampelius, and daughter Penelope. Her mother Regina Gama and sisters America Thomas and husband Craig Thomas, Janet Ruiz and husband Abel Ruiz, Jessica Shelby, brother Ronnie Shelby and nieces and nephews Amerie, CJ, Chloe, Alex, Caiden, Amayah, Donovan, Bella, and Mautzel. Her best friend Stephenie Rodriguez and countless extended family and friends.

Her most rewarding thing in life was becoming a mother and caring for her children. Marrying her husband and caregiver Amilcar and traveling together making memories. Her favorite place to travel to was the Disney Parks which was granted with the help of the ALS Foundation.

The family would like to thank Destiny Despain for the care and compassion they showed our loved one in their final days. The Family would also like to thank Jennifer Beckett with the ALS Association of Texas.

A visitation for Gina will be held Monday, December 5, 2022 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Cook-Walden/Forest Oaks Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 6300 West William Cannon Drive, Austin, TX 78749. On Tuesday, December 6, 2022 at 12:00 PM will be a graveside service at Assumption Cemetery, 3650 S I-35 Frontage Rd, Austin, TX 78704.
