Gerry Wolfe, 63, of Austin passed away Tuesday, August 25th in his home. He was born in Springhill, LA to the late James A. and Geraldine Wolfe. Gerry was a USAF pilot for 22 years and earned the rank of Lt. Colonel. He retired as commander of the 65th Airlift Squadron at Hickam AFB, HI.
Gerry and his wife Dixie have a loving and fun family; Emily, husband Kevin and granddaughter Grace of Philadelphia and Nathan, wife Holly and granddaughter Ella (expected in November) of Austin. He is also survived by his sister Cathy and Chris Holland of Houston and brother Buddy and Rodonna Wolfe of Dallas.
Gerry was inquisitive, intelligent, ingenious and fun. He was loved beyond measure. He will be missed every day.
Services will be held at Weed-Corley-Fish Funeral Home located at 3125 N. Lamar, on Sunday, August 30th at 6:00 pm. If desired, donations to Austin Food Bank or Wounded Warrior Project would be appreciated.
