John was an Austin native who grew up learning to play music from his father. Over his 60 years he played with several bands including Los Jokers, Johnny Dego, Ruben Romos, and Paco Rodriguez. He also formed a band with his brother Joe called John y Joe u Su Estilo. He was a wonderful musician and guitar player.
John is preceded in death by his parents, Fidencio Y. Aguilar and Paula Cazares. He is survived by his beloved wife of 16 years, Anna Lopez; step children Valeria Cueva and Patrick Cueva Jr.; and siblings Joe Aguilar, Gloria Aguilar, and James Aguilar.
He will be greatly missed by all who loved him including his aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
A celebration of life for John will be held Friday, October 14, 2022 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Weed Corley Fish Funeral Homes and Cremation Services, 2620 South Congress Avenue, Austin, TX 78704.
