Born in Jacksonville, North Carolina, and raised in Austin, Texas. Pops took pride in himself, his home, his family, and his employment. He was a hardworking provider, with a heart of gold, who was always willing to be a help to those in his life.
He will be remembered for his unique sense of humor and playful demeanor. He was free-spirited and full of zeal.
Pops lived life to the fullest and was always on the go. He especially enjoyed music, family get-togethers, showing up for his kids, grandkids, family, and friends.
George has always been a sports fan and always enjoyed grilling on weekends to cheer on his favorite teams the Texas Longhorns or Dallas Cowboys. He loved hosting get-togethers and enjoyed great conversations occasionally forgetting he was manning the grill. In his later years, he enjoyed everyone coming out to the family ranch and grilling or cooking for family and friends. Pops always made sure there was plenty of food for anyone and everyone that wanted to come out.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Jorge and Ninfa Guerra. As well as his brother Daniel Guerra. He is survived by siblings, Linda Guerra, and Dolores Guerra; Sons J. Nick Guerra, Greg Guerra (wife Michelle), and Mark Beltran; Daughter Michelle Barrera; granddaughters Avrielle Guerra, Madelyn Guerra, and Mya Beltran; grandsons Myles and Kai Beltran, Aiden Pedraza and Bryan Lewis and his lifetime friends Jacinto H. Melendrez (JR) and Robert Elizondo (Killer).
Special thanks Julie Zamora (partner) for bringing happiness and love to his life the last few years.
