Florence Dahlin Farr died peacefully in her sleep at 6:40 a.m. on Thursday, March 29, 2012. In her beauty and grace she finally re-joins the love of her life and husband of 73 years, Cullen Farr, where they will spend eternity with their Lord and Savior.
She loved her family and taught them to love. Family was her life and being called Mom, MaMa or MaMaw was sweet music. Her smile would light up a room and she loved and cared for everyone. She was a woman of peace with never a harsh word. In a moment's notice, she would bake a peach cobbler, pie or cake when needed ~ the consummate caregiver.
Though she spent the last 6 years with her children in Georgetown, Florence was a longtime resident of Buda and member of the First Baptist Church. She was born on November 23, 1917 in Austin, Texas and leaves behind son, Dudley Farr and wife Shirley; grandson, Gary Farr of Georgetown; granddaughter, Gaye Lynn Williams and husband Randy; great-granddaughter, Kristen Pierce and husband Brandon; great-granddaughter, Cara Williams and husband Brenton Dowdy; great-great grandson, Josiah all of Abilene; great-grandson, Justin Williams and wife Hope; great-great granddaughters, Hannah and Alexis of Little Elm; daughter, Beverly Davis and husband Ray of Georgetown; grandson, Derek Davis and wife Beth; great-granddaughters, Rebecca, Sarah and Emma Davis of Burke, VA; grandson, Chaplain Major Trent Davis and wife Lisa; great-granddaughters, Hannah and Rachel Davis; great-grandson, Timothy Davis of Altus, OK; two sisters, Lucille Owens of Buda and Gladys Gunn of Austin and many extended family and friends.
