
I never had the pleasure of meeting Elizabeth Kinney but would like to extend my condolences to all of you for the loss of your beloved mother, aunt, grandmother, great grandmother.  I am the grandaughter of Girard Kinney, Sr. and am saddened to hear of Ms. Elizabeth's passing.  Lenicia Kinney Gordon

Mom Kinney was very dear to me, and I loved her very much.  She always had the sweetest smile and always seemed to care about how you were and what you were doing.  She was never too busy to listen to your problems, Marilyn and I would always tell Mom what and where we were going---something I could never share with my own mother.  She had faith in us to do the right thing and therefore, we never wanted to let her down.  She was a rock that I could turn to when I was down or needed someone to talk to.  She will truly be missed.  I love you Mom. Gwen

Aunt Liz was always such a joy to be with. She took such interest in catching up on what was going on in our lives when we saw her at the family reunions. I appreciated that and loved spending time with her. She had a personality that transcended generations.She will be greatly missed.



My grandmother, known to all of her grandchildren and great grandchildren  as "NanNan" was truly one of the most kind, caring, loving people I have ever known.  She was very intelligent and I could ALWAYS count on her for sound advice. I loved to talk to her on the phone too....for hours!! We all shared many wonderful and fun times with her especially at her home in Austin.  Her house was a home to all of us.  I am very thankful that my two children had the opportunity to know and love her as we all did.   I miss her more than words can describe.  She holds a very special place in my heart. Nannan was the sweetest mother, grandmother and great grandmother you ever did see.  We used to laugh at the way she would call out to Emily in her one of a kind voice "m'ly". Hi,     I was Scott's best friend in college and I also knew Nannan. She was a wonderful woman and was always gracious and kind to me. I have many fond memories of her and Scott and I always envied the bond they had as grandma/grandson. I was unaware of Scott's passing and I'm very saddened about that as well. I'm very sorry for both losses. I will never forget Scott or Nannan on Mohle Drive.... I have such wonderful memories of your mothers front porch on Mohle and the great times we all had on that "infamous" street.  Your mother was always so kind to everyone.



I knew Elizabeth for a short time in the years I've known Julie and the Martin family.  The couple of times I met her during family get togethers, she treated me with love and I returned it with much respect and love for her. Elizabeth Kinney was my GREAT grandmother. I spent a lot of time with her and my great cousin Scott. We had the best of time. Nannan and Scott told me so many funny stories that I will always remember. One in particular was when my Mom ( Lori Dotson ) and Scott called several taxi cabs to show up at Nannan's house. All three of them showed up at the same time and started HONKING. Nanan was not very happy but I bet she is laughing now. Love, your great grandson: Ryan Scott Dotson



My beloved grandmother NanNan was the grandparent I always felt the closest to.  Throughout my life, she was always a wonderful, cheerful and caring spirit and someone I could talk to about anything and everything.  We shared many laughs, too!  I will never forget all of the fun memories we had growing up.  When it was time to visit NanNan, we were guaranteed a great time! Elizabeth Kinney was my grandmother. We called her Nannan. I am thankful to have so many wonderful memories of my grandmother. I know she is safe and in a better place now because she is with my favorite cousin Scott Martin and my father Hilton Spitzenberger. She spoke of her angel Eileen before she passed away and this give me peace to know she is being very well taken care of.
