She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, cousin and friend to many. Her smile, touch and words of life were a comfort to all. Eliza will be missed by many who have had the pleasure of knowing her. In her life she enjoyed music, dancing, singing, hunting, fishing and gardening. Eliza retired from Austin Independent School District, and was a member of San Jose Catholic Church.
Eliza is survived by her children, Albert Herrera and wife Evelyn, Stella Campos, Linda Samilpa and husband Michael, Esther Herrera, Mary Alice Herrera; beloved long life friend, Mike Limon.
Her grandchildren, Christina Herrera-Gonzales and husband Michael, Diana Countryman and husband Kirk, Elisa Mojica and husband Carlos, Ion Ortega and husband Marcario, Ceasar Garza, Carlos Garza, Melissa Ruiz, Patricia Ruiz, Joe Albert Campos, Ashley Samilpa, Marissa Samilpa, Elizabeth Herrera, John Herrera- Fraustro, Morgan Hernandez, Lauran Hernandez, Meagan Hernandez.
Her great-grandchildren, Matthew Gonzales, Jonathan Gonzales, Nicole Countryman, Mark Countryman, Adrian Mojica, Carlos Mojica, Isabella Ortega, Ethan Garza, Amoree Garza, Brianna Garza, Enrique Garcia and wife Lidia, Renee Garcia, Angel Jaimes, Enzo Rey Alvarez
Her great-great-grandchild, Aiden Mojica; sister, Eloisa Barrera; brother, Phillip Rios; sister-in-law, Beatrice Rios, Mary Rios.
Recitation of the Holy Rosary will be held at 7:00 pm on Sunday, August 11, 2013 at Weed-Corley-Fish Funeral Home, 2620 South Congress Avenue. A Mass of the Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 am on Monday, August 12, 2013 at San Jose Catholic Church with Father John Boiko officiating. Interment will follow at Assumption Cemetery.
