Dorothy (Little) Calhoun, 83, of Austin, passed away at home October 17, 2016. She was born November 23, 1932 in Cleveland, TX, to Howard and Claudie Moody Little. Dorothy retired from Accounting at the Austin State Hospital, Austin, TX. She especially loved her family, gardening and creating jewelry.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents; husband Edgar Roy Calhoun; two children Jacquelyn and Reginald Herren; and one grandson Brandon Herren.
Survivors include her children Jeffrey W. Herren, Joseph N. Herren, Henry J. Herren, Samuel K. Herren and Cheryl N. and husband Richard S. Teseny; grandchildren Kim Scott-Miller, Kim Barrington, Regina Hightower, Andrea Stanfield, Crystal Williams, Elizabeth Herren, Jennifer Juneau, Matthew Herren, Emily Herren, Jessica Teseny, Jacquelyn Teseny, and Maggie Teseny; 20 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild; sister Shirley Comacho of Houston, Texas; brother William Gibbs and wife Renáte of Houston, Texas; and numerous other brothers.
Visitation will be Thursday, October 20, 2016 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., at Weed-Corley-Fish Funeral Home, 3125 North Lamar, Austin, TX 78705.
Graveside services will be held Friday, October 21, 2016 at 10:45 a.m., at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery, San Antonio, TX, with Retired Military Chaplain Milton Tyler officiating.
