Dewey E. Williams, 68, of Austin, passed away on Sunday, August 20, 2006, after a lengthy illness. Dewey was preceded in death by his parents, J. R. and Ethel Williams, and by his sister, Berneice Imel. He is survived by his wife, Barbara Williams of Austin, his son Jay R. Buddy Williams and his wife Denise of Temple, TX, his daughter Debbie Anderson and her husband Mike of Gatesville, TX, his daughter Karen Young and her husband Doug of Rogers, TX and his brother J. D. Williams and his wife Birdie of Odem, TX. Numerous grandchildren and several great-grandchildren also survive him. He was an ardent student of the bible, having accepted Christ at an early age. His greatest joy came from leading others to Christ. Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00pm on Thursday, August 24, 2006 at Weed-Corley-Fish Funeral Home, 3125 North Lamar, Austin. Funeral services will be held on Friday, August 25, 2006 at 1:00pm at Weed-Corley-Fish Funeral Home followed by graveside services at Austin Memorial Park Cemetery on Hancock Drive.
