Deborah Marie Mendoza, age 64, of Kyle, Texas passed away Saturday December 15, 2018. Deborah was born on March 21, 1954 to Burkeman Guillory and Shirley Duhon in Lake Charles, LA. She has 3 brothers, Mitch, Michael and Richard.
Deborah graduated from La Grange High School in 1972. She moved to California in the late 70’s to work at Lockheed and this is where she met the love of her life, Ruben Mendoza Sr. On March 29, 1980 they married at the Chapel of the Bells in Las Vegas and two years later they moved to Texas. Dee worked in the semi-conductor field for over 20 years at Samsung and AMD. Dee and Ruben loved to play golf together and she played in many tournaments with her friends and family. They also volunteered as a “Big Brother” in Austin.
Deborah (Dee) loved her children, Yvette Mendoza and Ruben (Guy) Mendoza Jr. and her many doggie children including Chuvette, Dancer, Tessa and Maggie. She also loved her grandchildren Quashawn and Angel and her doggie grandchildren, Chloe, Dia and Prim.
Her grandchildren loved hanging out with their grandma. They loved when she would pick them up after school and take them shopping and then they would go to her house and eat nachos and watch movies together. Her grandchildren gave her the honorary title of “World’s Best Cook”.
Deborah Mendoza joined her husband, father and mother and other family members and friends in Heaven on December 15, 2018. She is survived by her daughter, Yvette and son Ruben Jr (Erin), grandsons Quashawn and Angel, brothers Mitch (Ruby), Michael, and Richard, her in-laws and numerous nieces, nephews and friends too many to name.
Deborah will be missed but we will always hold her in our hearts.
Memorial services will be held at 11am on Friday January 4, 2019 at Kyle United Methodist Church located at 408 W. Lockhart Street in Kyle, Tx.
