Cynthia was born March 28, 1962, to First Lieutenant Richard W. Bateman and Helen Bateman, at Schilling Air Force base in Salinas, Kansas. She is a proud mother, beloved daughter, entrusted sister, incredible grandma, and the best aunt! Cynthia’s professional career was spent at the bingo supply company for 25+ years.
Cynthia was a master thrifter, she loved to shop and always had the best outfits and jewelry. She enjoyed singing and dancing and was always ready when the music started. Cynthia had a way with words and could write a poem about anything. If she loved you she was praying for you. Her laughter was contagious.
Cynthia is survived in death by her Mother Helen Bateman Turrentine, sons Ryan (Rebecca), Michael (Cami), grandchildren Ryley, Renley and Remington whom she loved dearly, sisters Cathy (Mike), Donna (Bob), half-brother Andrew (Amanda), and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Cynthia is preceded in death by her grandparents, Roy and Sue Walker and Ida Cooke. Also by her Dad Richard Wayne Bateman and step Dad Edgar P Turrentine.
Our hearts will never grow accustomed to life without her.
Pallbearers will be Jeremy Rogers, Devin Hayes, Robby Garcia, Justin Garcia, Joshua Hayes, Jack Lunsford, Sam Lundsford, Will Lunsford, Hayden Rudd and honorary pallbearer Remington Shue.
Visitation will be on Thursday, October 24, 2024 at Cook-Walden/Forest Oaks Funeral Home from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Her Funeral Service will be held on Friday, October 25, 2024 at Cook-Walden/Forest Oaks Funeral Home at 11 a.m.
