Chase Alan Monks, 26, of Austin, Texas, was tragically killed in a car accident on Thursday, October 14, 2010, while traveling on I-35W North of Hillsboro, Texas. Chase loved life and was loved by many. He had a kind and gentle spirit and a strong passion for music.
He worked at Opal Divine's Restaurant on South Congress and was a member of the Bo Cox Band and recently became part of the Will Callers Band. He loved to perform on stage and his musical talents will be sorely missed by all. He was a high school graduate of St. Michael's Academy.
Chase was preceded in death by his brother, Bradley, who died in 2005.
Chase is survived by his parents, Dr. Brian and Debra Monks; siblings, Cory & Sarah Monks, Brianna, Tristan, Carson, Analise, Chandler, Calen, Eliana, Noah, Mason, Joshua and Christopher; his beloved girlfriend, Stephanie Cairns; grandparents, Eugene, and Dorothy Monks and Lewis Seals; and many other extended family members.
Visitation will be from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m., Wednesday, October 20, 2010 at Cook-Walden/Forest Oaks Funeral Home. Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m., Thursday, October 21, 2010 at Lake Hills Church, 11521 Bee Caves Road, with interment to follow at Cook-Walden/Forest Oaks Memorial Park.
