He went to New York City to pursue a career as a singer where he met his soon-to- be wife, Adeline. In 1949, they married in the courthouse chapel in NYC. Carl was a devoted husband, wonderful and loving father, grandfather, and great-grand father who loved studying the bible. He never had a harsh word and showed his gentle and loving spirit to all those he came in contact with. He was a strong Christian and very involved with his church. He will be missed by all who knew him.
He leaves behind his loving daughter, Diane Buck; son, Jim Rizzo; three grandchildren, Angela, Erin, and Nickolas and one great-grandchild, Dillon. He was preceded in death by his wife Adeline Rizzo.
Friends are cordially invited to a visitation with the family from 4:00-6:00 pm, on Saturday, March 4, 2017, at Cook-Walden Funeral Home, 6100 North Lamar Boulevard, Austin, Texas.
Funeral Services will be held at 1:30 pm on Sunday, March 5, 2017, at Redeemer Lutheran Church, 1500 West Anderson Lane, Austin, Texas 78757. Interment will follow in Cook-Walden Capital Parks, Pflugerville, Texas.
