Brian lived all of his life in Austin and loved the UT Longhorns. He attended Crestview Baptist Church, graduated from Clifton Development Center, and spent his final years as a resident at Barton Valley Healthcare Center.
Brian lived life to the fullest. His favorite pastime was watching 60s TV shows and western movies starring John Wayne, and he loved eating home-cooked southern foods made by his mother, Blanche. While his parents were alive, he enjoyed traveling with them on trips to Branson, Missouri, Alaska, Hawaii, and Canada. Brian had a contagious smile and loved to joke with his siblings. He would sing “Thank God and Greyhound” each time his sister Connie left for college. Though our hearts mourn the loss of Brian, we are comforted knowing that he is sharing his smile and humor with friends and family in Heaven.
Brian was preceded in death by his parents, Ray and Blanche Stone, and his brother-in-law, Charles Cade.
He is survived by sisters, Judy Cade, Connie Kinnard and husband J.R., brother Gary Stone and wife Vicki; two nieces; three nephews; three great nephews, and a great niece.
A funeral service for Brian will be held Wednesday, November 15, 2023, at 10:00 AM at Cook-Walden Funeral Home, 6100 N. Lamar Blvd, Austin, Texas. Following the funeral service will be a graveside service at 11:15 AM at Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Cemetery, 14501 North Ih-35, Pflugerville, Texas.
