Betty Gail Williams

Our beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, Betty Gail Williams, joined her heavenly father Wednesday, September 11, 2013. She led a full and wonderful life and was loved greatly by all who knew her.

Betty was born December 31, 1936 in Waelder, Texas, the daughter of T. M. "Boy" and Otela Cowan.

Betty is survived by her husband of 57 years, Curtis Williams, and her four children and their spouses, Michael Williams, Cathy Penn (Bryan), Valerie Williams and Vicky Wilhelm (Keith). Nana was cherished by her twelve grandchildren and their spouses, Michael (Sheri), Christina (Thomas), Ryan (Kelly), Peter James, Jamie, Joshua, Alex, Samuel, Emily, Hannah, Elizabeth and Claire. She will also be missed by her three great-grandchildren, Connor, Heather and Beckett.

The family would like to give special thanks to Betty's friends at Woodlawn Baptist Church where she faithfully served as member and Sunday school teacher for almost 50 years.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. Sunday, September 15, 2013 at Cook-Walden/Forest Oaks Funeral Home.

Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, September 16, 2013 at Cook-Walden/Forest Oaks Funeral Home, with Pastor Lane Northcut officiating. Interment will follow at Cook-Walden/Forest Oaks Memorial Park.
