Hello to the family and friends of Ava/Asher. I was in sixth grade at Kealing Middle School when Ava passed. I know she effected everyone including my best friend who worked with them on a project in theater. Even for the people who didn't know them personally, I got told that they were the nicest person one could meet. So I sincerely give my condolences to the family and friends of Ava, no person this young should've gone through that, and I know everyone attending Kealing will always remember Ava for their kind and creative heart.

I seat by Ava in Music Production and she was really nice and always had a smile on her face and helped me even if I was bugging her. We weren't very close but  she will always be on my mind .-Hear and Mind Kiara

There should be a cosmic law that we not outlive our children.
 I spent some time reading the condolences and admiring your photos, so that I could get a sense of who Ava is.  My impression is that she is the thoughtful, beautiful, energetic, and engaged child that you raised her to be; much like yourself, in other words. 
I have benefited tremendously from my association with you through Anderson’s Practicum program, and I’ve  witnessed firsthand the attention, affection and support you give your students. I was saddened to hear of the passing of your daughter, Ava.  I am a friend of Bob  “Red” Koch and Crane and Molly.  My wife and I attended your wedding but never had a chance to meet your daughter. I worked side by side with Ava in one of my favorite classes that year with her. We worked on creating different scenes using origami making animals out of colorful paper, Ava's talents were so amazing and wonderful when it came to making such beautiful work. The photo I added is one of my favorite projects we made together.

I will never forget the days Ava and I spent playing princess, watching Tangled,  and dancing. She always had a big smile for me and the cutest little giggle. I loved the bedtime stories she insisted on telling me when I babysat. Angela and Rand, thank you for letting me be a part of Ava’s life. She’s the sweetest little girl I’ve ever met. I love and miss you, Ava D.

As parents of a Kealing seventh grader and fellow KNN student, we wanted to let you know how sweet, kind, and thoughtful your child was to show our then sixth grader all around the school when our kiddo started middle school mid-semester. Hi, I was Ava’s friend from camp. We were not that close but she was still very sweet to me. She always smiled at me and we always worked hard to win all the games at camp. I really do miss Ava and her sweet smile. Love abby 

We are so glad our girls danced together.

I went to camp with her for three years, she was so kind and always knew how to make people smile when they were down or scared. She had such a soft heart and even though I was never in the same cabin as her because she was thee years younger, I really loved enjoyed the time we spent together. And we will all mis seeing her amazing face. 

Oh Angela my heart aches for you. If Ava was anything like you she must have been precious and smart. I’ve always admired you and all you’ve accomplished.  Sending love from California.

We are so very sorry about the heartbreaking loss of precious Ava.  We are grieving with you but also feeling fortunate that all of the Hamiltons had the chance to get to know Ava and feel the blessing of her "kind, gentle nature."  We especially enjoyed watching her blossom into a joyful, kind, confident, beautiful teen who was the sort of person who was more interested in chatting with her carpool driver than staring at her phone. How refreshing that was!  Most of all, Ava was a true friend to Ellie.  She is really missing her dance and camp buddy.  

We all will cherish Ava's memory.  Please let us know if there's anything we can do to help your sweet family as you try to heal.  We look forward to continuing our friendship.

Remembering precious preschool memories of Ava. Your St. Matthew's School family is holding you all in our hearts and prayers. 

My son was in class with Ava for 2 years in a row at Doss when I put together the class book.  This was Ava's acrostic poem about herself in 3rd grade.  Incredibly creative and artistic, I remember laughing at how it was HUNDREDS times neater and more organized than my son's work.  She was always smiley and helpful.

Ava was an excellent student and friend in my class.

I didn't know Ava, but I am very very sorry for your loss. 

Ava was one of Mallory's first true friends after we moved to Austin. From basketball to Girl Scouts to Doss events, these two gravitated to each other from the start. 

Lots o' hoops with the Zumwalt family! Having Ava as her teammate and Rand as her coach for so many years was a special experience for Mallory. 

Who could say no to these sweet faces? These girls cleared out a lot of cookie inventory during their time together as Girl Scouts. 

We found so many photos of Mallory and Ava throughout elementary school and have loved revisiting all of the warm, funny, and wonderful times with the Zumwalts. We consider ourselves truly blessed to have met Ava, and by extension Angela, Rand, and Vaughn, and will treasure the time spent with her. We hope the memories bring you peace and comfort through this time. Sending all of our love - Mindy, Mallory, Stu, Julia and Bryn. 

The legend Mrs Means took time on her weekends to come and support these amazing girls -- truly blessed to have Mal, Ava, and Elle together in class and on the court!
