On Friday, January 8, 2010, Arthur Abell Petticrew found freedom from his nineteen-year battle with Duchene's Muscular Dystrophy. Arthur came into this world February 14, 1990 as a sweet Valentine's Day gift. He was born in Boise, Idaho and moved to Lakeway, Texas when he was starting the second grade. He is a 2008 graduate of Lake Travis High School and for the last two years has resided in McDade, Texas with his family. Arthur was a servant of God and exemplified God's call to be very strong and courageous. He did this daily; more so than any person could imagine. Arthur was an extremely bright, creative individual. He loved life and cherished any occasion that would bring his family and friends together. Arthur's favorite times were spent in his room with family and friends playing video games and watching movies, and around the fire-pit talking about life and just goofing off. Arthur is survived by his father, Walter Abell Petticrew, mother, Jody Marie Petticrew, sister, Karly Marie Petticrew, and grandmother, Elizabeth Andre Petticrew. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 12, 2010 at Weed-Corley-Fish Funeral Home, 3125 N. Lamar Blvd. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 13, 2010 at St. Luke's on the Lake, 5600 Ranch Road 620 North.
