Annis grew up on her family farm that provided every resource needed , and adored her Daddy who died when she was only 18. Annis graduated from her hometown high school and went on to graduate from Ohio State University. She taught high school for a number of years until she married Dan Peterson and became an Air Force wife. Life in the service allowed her to live in many places from Presque Isle, Maine to Phoenix, Arizona and then overseas to England and Germany, returning to the States to settle in Texas. In 1964, she became a real estate agent; a career she enjoyed for over 40 years. Her many interests included cooking for her family, gardening and playing bridge with her many friends. She loved watching Wheel of Fortune and often guessing the answers before the contestants did! Annis’ greatest love was her children and grandchildren, who will miss her dearly and love her forever.
She is survived by her four children, David Peterson, Cindy King and husband Norm, Sandy Blevins and husband David, Pam James and husband David, three grandchildren, Ben Peterson, David James, Jr. and Jennifer James. She is preceded in death by her sisters, Gayle Woodward and Eunice Wood (Annis’s sweet twin).
