Amber Brett Fish passed away on Friday, December 12, 2014. Born on June 27, 1977, she was raised in northwest Houston and graduated from Tomball High School. Amber is survived by her parents, Paige Muegge Fish of Austin and Jim Fish of Spring, sister Shannon Fish, Uncle Barron Muegge, Uncle David Muegge and wife Carol, Uncle Lance Muegge and wife Cathy, Uncle Guy Fish and wife Anita, and Aunt Sandi Peppeard.
Amber was very smart, capable, and fiercely independent. Many knew her as a tomboy at school and as a competitive athlete. An avid reader, Amber absorbed much from her readings and was well versed on many issues. She was indeed a student of life.
With her beautiful smile and flowing blonde hair, Amber most enjoyed being outdoors experiencing nature and being creative. She took time to enjoy the world around her and she drew the most pleasure from her numerous dogs, her love for music from the 60's and 70's, literature, art and gardening. She didn't worry about material things and the biggest smile on her face would come after a morning at the creek with her dogs and tending to her garden.
Amber earned a degree in Geography from Texas State University. She lived the majority of her life in Central Texas and especially identified with Dripping Springs and most recently San Marcos. Many in life follow others, but Amber was the embodiment of independence and absolutely lived life on her own terms. Her choice was to live life in her own way, and she had a strong sense of direction on how to accomplish that.
A Celebration of Life will be held, Saturday, December 20th at 11:00 a.m. at the Umlauf Sculpture Garden, 605 Robert E. Lee Road, Austin, TX.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Amber’s honor to Austin Pets Alive!, 1156 West Cesar Chavez Street, Austin, TX, or to the charity of your choice.
