Our beloved Agnes Costello Goodnight, 79, went to be with our Heavenly Lord on Sunday, November 27, 2005. She was born March 22, 1926 to William Owen and Augusta Costello in Forney, Texas. After graduating from Forney High School, she moved to Dallas and in 1947 married Fred H. Goodnight. She worked at Fair Park National Bank and was an active member of St. Phillips Catholic Church Alter Society and Choir. In 1964 Agnes and Fred moved to Austin and she began her twenty-five year career at Leif Johnson Ford and became a devout member of St. Ignatius Martyr Church and Choir which she considered family. Agnes was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend who never met a stranger and was always an inspiration to those around her. She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Fred; brother, Dennis Costello; son, Mike Goodnight and wife, Carlene; daughters, Vickie Sneed and husband John, Becki Gregg and husband Jimmy; grandchildren, Nicole Cronin and husband Kevin, Angel Hernandez and husband Nick, Kristin Polansky, Regina Collier and husband Eric, Scott Sneed, great-grandchildren; Tyler, Cody and Cade. A special thanks to the nurses and staff at 2nd Floor Central, South Austin Hospital, South Austin Cancer Center and Hospice Austin for the wonderful care given to Noni. A Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 2:00pm on Tuesday, November 29, 2005 at St. Ignatius Catholic Church officiated by Reverend Joseph A. Tomei, C.S.C. Interment will follow at Assumption Cemetery, 3650 S. I.H. 35. Serving as Pallbearers; Dean Goodnight, Eric Collier, Scott Sneed, F.J. Rip Ripperda, Bob Currie, John Hernandez, and Gene Keller.
