Adeline M. Stewart

Adeline was born and raised on a farm near Fredericksburg. She and her parents moved to town when she was 13 years old. She attended and graduated from St. Mary’s School in 1955. She moved to Austin in 1962 (Ken was away in the Army). Adeline and Ken met upon his discharge in 1964. The Knight of Columbus Council 1017 had a young adults club and that is where they met and after dating for 18 months were married on June 5, 1965. Their wedding was held in St. Mary’s Church and they honeymooned in Yellowstone Park. Adeline and Ken enjoyed traveling with their AARP chapter, traveling to New York City, Washington, D.C., Canada and even to Germany where Adeline could use her German language. She was active at Sacred Heart School where her daughters attended there. She served at the 5:00 PM Mass as Eucharistic Minister.

Visitation with the family will be held on Thursday, December 28, 2017 from 5:00-7:00 PM at Cook-Walden Funeral Home, 6100 North Lamar Blvd, Austin, Texas 78752. Rosary will recite at 7:00 PM.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 12:00 PM on Friday, December 29, 2017 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 5909 Reicher Dr, Austin, TX 78723. Interment to follow in Cook-Walden Capital Parks Cemetery in Pflugerville, TX.
