On September 6, 2023, Adam embarked on his final journey from his earthly home to a heavenly one. He graced this world with his presence on May 2, 1984, in Austin, Texas, proudly representing the fifth generation of Austinites in his family. His educational journey led him through the corridors of Hyde Park Baptist School, a place where he found lifelong friends.
Adam's passion for the great outdoors was evident to all who knew him. Whether he was on the water, gliding through snow, soaring in the sky, or exploring the depths of the sea, Adam's spirit for adventure knew no bounds.
The most remarkable adventure of his life began when he crossed paths with his soulmate, Sharleen. Their love story unfolded during their shared experiences at Lake Travis Zipline. But the call of the Rocky Mountains always held a special place in Adam's heart. He and Sharleen embraced this passion and found joy working as ski school teachers and zip line guides in the beautiful landscapes of Colorado. Summers saw him taking on the role of a white-water raft guide, where he fearlessly taught others how to navigate treacherous white waters.
Adam and Sharleen's love story blossomed into a beautiful family, and together they were blessed with two extraordinary children, Rowan Walker and Freya Beverly.
Adam's legacy lives on through his beloved family. He is survived by his loving wife, Sharleen, his cherished children, Rowan and Freya, his mother Carolyn, his father Bob (and Paula), his brother Eric (and Renee), sister Robin (and Gene) and his brother-in-law Gideon. Additionally, Adam leaves behind a wide circle of friends and extended family members whose lives were touched by his warmth and charisma, both in Texas and Colorado.
A celebration of Adam's remarkable life will be held at Weed-Corley-Fish on Parkcrest in Austin on October 21, 2023 at 10AM. In a private family ceremony, some of Adam's ashes will be interred next to his Memaw, creating a timeless connection to his roots.
Adam's journey was far from ordinary; it was an adventure filled with passion, love, and an unwavering zest for life. He will forever be remembered as a devoted husband, loving father, and a true adventurer of the heart.
