Victor Charles Warner of King City, Ontario passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family at Southlake Regional Health Centre. Victor was born in Liverpool England, he immigrated to Canada in 1958 where he later met his sweetheart and beloved wife of 63 years Anne (Nee: Prendiville) of County Kerry Ireland.
In addition to his loving wife Anne, he is survived by his son Raymond (Cynthia) of Bracebridge Ontario, his Daughter Christine (Morrice) of King City, his son William (Elisabetta) of King City and daughter Irene (Dave) of Ottawa. Victor was the loving and proud Poppa to his grandchildren Gregory, Sean, Patrick, Chantelle, Emily and Andrew. Victor will be missed by his Sister Marjorie of Surrey UK, his sister Angela of Reading UK and brother Harry of Teignmouth UK.
After seven years of service in The Royal Navy, Victor apprenticed and worked as a tool and die maker. Victor was very proud to have worked on the Avro Arrow during his 35 year career in the Canadian Aerospace industry. He retired from Boeing Aerospace as the Manager of the Tool room in 2005, and briefly worked as a consultant For them until he decided to fully retired in 2006.
Once retired, Victor and Ann had many travelling trips across the seas and in Canada. He fully enjoyed spending time at the family cottage in Muskoka, and loved to be out on the water in his little fishing boat where he could putt around the lake and fish at his leisure. Victor with Anne by his side happily started many family traditions and had numerous celebrations creating lasting memories at their much loved cottage.
An avid gardener, reader and talented fisherman he will be remembered as a fierce horseshoe competitor, carpet bowler and badminton player and pickle ball player.
He competed for several years in the York Senior Games. Vic was known by everyone for his British dry wit and his spirit for life.
Victor will be dearly missed by his family, his friends from the King City Seniors club and cottage neighbours. The family would like to thank the staff at Southlake Regional Health Centre for the great care and compassion they provided.
A Visitation and Celebration of Life for Victor will be held on Wednesday April 24th from 10:00am - 12:00 p.m. There will be a service immediately following visitation at Thompson Funeral Home located at 530 Industrial Parkway South, Aurora, ON L4G 6W8
