So sorry you’re hangin’ up the skates way too early.   You will be sorely missed my friend… except of course for all of the cross checks and slashes across the hands with the longest stick any of us ever came across in Canada’s game.   🏒

My deepest sympathies to the entire Rodger family.    I remember the day the old school bus pulled into 6 Bellbrook Road. Our neighbourhood was forever changed!  Along with a lot of kids (and noise, lol) came a lot of helping hands.   I recall when my dad wanted to take down a tree, in truly neighborly fashion, Sid and "the boys" (Jamie and Robert) were there to help.  Fast forward many years and sadly I've seen Robert only at funerals of "guys from the neighborhood" but he always continued to be warm and friendly as we shared a few laughs over past shenanigans that he and my brother (Marcel) had had.  My heart goes out to all of you.  I hope that in time fond memories will help lift everyone's heavy hearts.

Deepest condolences to all of you.
I was shocked to learn of Robert’s passing as I just saw him about a month earlier at our high school football coach’s celebration of life. I had not seen Robert in over 30 years and yet he recognized me right away and gave me a big hug which must have looked hilarious as I only stand 5’7” and he is about 6’6”.
We chatted about our days playing football and rugby at Agincourt as if no time passed away at all.
So sorry for your loss as Robert was a very nice man who treated everyone with kindness and respect.

I first met Rob in the late 1980s or early 90s when we both worked at  Karmax Heavy Stamping.  Rob was in Quality and I was starting out my engineering career.  As I embarked on various projects I often ended up in the QC area.  That was where Rob and I became friends and found him to be a great guy to work with who also had a fantastic sense of humour.   As the years passed and we changed jobs it was always nice to touch base and laugh again.  He was an all around smart, witty, and enjoyable guy to know .

The Rodger's family lived in our Agincourt neighborhood and were fixtures in a great time. Robert was a great guy and friend to so many.

I will always remember Rob throwing my kids in the air when they were little. They must have been about 9 feet airborne. And they would go back to Rob for more of it, again and again until his arms were too tired. He was a great uncle. We will miss him so much. Seana

Hey guys, really sorry to hear about Robert’s passing. I hadn’t seen him in some time but do have fond memories of our conversations at the rink when our boys were playing hockey. Remembering how pleasant he was and always smiling.  Sincere condolences from the Mizuguchi family.

Our sincere condolences on the passing of Rob.  We were deeply shocked to hear this news.  Although it’s been years since we’ve seen you, the memories of our time together on Wellington St. bring smiles to our faces. What sad news.  Rob was literally a large size personality who exuded warmth and generosity of spirit.  We would always connect at Cousins Christmas and I would enjoy hearing about his work and sport’s adventures.
