Dear Cousins Pat, Kathleen & Susan:  I'm not sure if this link is still open but I came across it while working on the Phillips Family Tree this blustery, cold Sunday afternoon.  I was filling in a few spaces on the family tree and decided to google Auntie Rae's name.  Reading these memories has reminded me of how much fun it was to spend time with one of my favorite aunts.  When my Dad (her baby brother) was living at Sunnybrook Veteran's Wing, Auntie Rae would come with me to visit him many Sunday afternoons.  She always had a smile for my father and sang along with him as he whistled and  sang many old songs from the 1940's.  I miss those days but have wonderful memories.  Dad also enjoyed his last visit with his youngest sister, Nonie (he called her Lee), not long before he passed away.  I'm so grateful that they were able to spend that time together.



I remember Mrs. Barker as our next door neighbour on Aragon.... she was a true lady in all aspects.   A lovely person.

Rae and I have known each other for many years, sharing fun, volunteer times at Aurora United Church.
Also, I have had the pleasure of visiting with Rae  many times at Hollandview Trail, while visiting my mother, who also lives there.
Rae was always smiling, upbeat and had such a positive attitude.
She made people happy, and I enjoyed our chats.
She was a lovely woman, who set a good example for everyone .
I wish her family fond memories of such a special lady.

Thinking of you all,  coping with the loss of a kind and lovely Mom and Grandma.  I have such fond memories of my visits with her over the years and will always cherish them.

Very sorry to hear of Aunt Rae’s passing. 
She was wonderful and I’ll always remember her as the kindest and gentlest person. 
All of Granny’s daughters were quiet and dignified with wit and Irish charm. They’re together again.

I played bridge with  Rae for many years. She was so pleasant and interesting I looked forward to her company. My condolences 


Rae and I met in February 2012 when we shared a room in Southlake Regional Health Centre.   When her daughter Pat visited, she always made Rae feel better and there was always lots of laughter.  Rae was the sweetest lady.  It was so easy to become friends.  After we were both discharged we continued our friendship.  Rae was always so patient looking at my travel photo albums.  I enjoyed many meals with her at Hollandview Retirement Home and treasured every visit.  I always say ...."Meeting Rae was the best thing that came out of my many hospital stays."   I was honoured to be considered her friend.   She had a good long  life and a wonderful loving family.  Sending my condolences to everyone.

I was sad to hear of Rae's passing. She was a special person to me.. It was always nice to see that smile and that made my day. I will miss you. Rest in peace. Buster.
