I remember Kathleen as one of the founding mbers of Catholic Community Services of York Region in 1980. She was a vigorous supporter of cooperative housing. M y condolences to the Glavin family.

Our thoughts have been with you over the past week. It was wonderful to see Kathleen and all of you last summer,she had a good life and what a lovely lady. 

Kathleen and I became  happy friends back in the 80's, she as Mother of Michael and me Guiding him through the ups and downs of High School . The friendship never ended perhaps because we were both true Celts at heart.

My earliest memory of Kathleen was at a parent teacher interview. She was the kind of parent every teacher hopes for, concerned, empathetic, realistic and sporting a great sense of humour. We also connected frequently through Our Lady of Grace parish where she was truly an involved and exemplary member of the community.  My sincere sympathy to Phil, Nora, Nuala and Mike and their families. Cherish the good memories. 

Many many years ago in aurora shared good times with Kathleen, along with Eithne O Riordan, I was pat Spiers then. Condolences to family and friends. 

My deepest condolences to all of the Glavin family.
If is with great fondness I remember your Mom. Always had a quip and a smile for all she encountered. Kathleen was so very kind to my own Mother when she lived in the co op in Aurora. She left a large imprint on the parish of Our Lady of Grace.

I first met Catherine when i moved into Hope Co op in January 1994. My first impression was dont get on her wrong side lol.  She was excellent at her job and made our co op run extremely smoothly.  We instantly became very good friends,  we would meet at my house for a cup of tea or at a restaurant  and Catherine would delight in telling me about the antics of Liam or her dog. Both would result in us laughing. When i had my stroke she came to the hospital,  i remember i couldnt speak very well, so she told me to keep quiet and she would do the talking, and yes she did !!!!.  Catherine was a women whom you vould trust completely.  I will miss you my friend,  but i know you are happy being back in Liams arms again. Rest in peace

I knew Kathleen many years ago when she was running Hope Co-op. I have always had a lot of respect for her.  I would like to share a little story about a time when my father passed away and I was in hairdressing school. Because I was in school and a single mother of two, my income was low. My father's funeral was in Sault Ste Marie and couldn't afford to go. She told me that she felt it was important that I go. I knew there was no way that I could go without help. I talked to her for a while and went home wondering where I could get the money.  Well about a half an hour later Kathleen called me and said she had $350.00 for me to go to my father's funeral. She also told me that she didn't want me to pay her back, but wanted me to pay it forward when I was able. I know I was pretty grateful for her generosity. I have paid it forward a few times since and everytime since I have thought of Kathleen. She was a no nonsense, strong, generous and kind person.
I'm want to say I'm so sorry to her family for their loss. I'm sure she would be missed.
