Joseph Francis Grech

Passed peacefully on Friday, November 1, 2024 at Southlake Regional Health Centre, Newmarket.

Joe was born in Malta, one of nine siblings born to John and Maria Grech. As a young man he worked for his uncles in their family bar, the Gleneagles Bar in Mgarr Gozo, Malta. At 21 Joe decided to immigrate to Canada, settling in Toronto and lived in “Little Malta”. He found work in the printing and packaging industry. He remained in this field until his retirement working his way up from the shop floor to management. In 1970 Joe met his lovely wife Linda in Collingwood and they married in 1971. In 1974 their son John was born. Joe enjoyed working in his garden and on his visits home to Malta loved going fishing with his brothers. He could always be relied on to give good advice and was a friend to all who met him.

He leaves behind his loving wife of 53 years, Linda. He was the loving father of his son, John and daughter in law Sanja. He will be dear missed by his brothers; Manuel, Loreto, Tony and Salvo, he was predeceased by his brother Dominic, and his sisters; Carmen, Agnes, and Antea.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, November 9, 2024 at 10:30 am at Thompson Funeral Home, 530 Industrial Parkway South, Aurora, ON L4G 6W8 with a reception to follow.
