Peacefully at the age of 82 on Monday December 23, 2013 at Oak Ridges Retirement Community with his wife by his side. Beloved husband of Bessie (nee Kitzan). Loving father of Karen Sweet and her husband Steven Zolnierczyk and Cheryl Pomer. Cherished grandfather of Emily Fonberg and her husband Alex Chramow, Ian Fonberg, and Adam and Jaclyn Pomer. John touched the lives of many people and he will be sadly missed by friends and relatives. Visitation will be held at the Thompson Funeral Home, 530 Industrial Parkway South on Thursday December 26 from 2-4pm and on Friday December 27 from 10-11am with a funeral service to follow.
