That help at the beginning of my journey was so comforting

Dan, Kelly, Christy and family,

We were so sorry to hear the news about Gill. Her battle was long and she fought it very bravely.

Gill was a wonderful giving person, who was there for us, and of whom we have many fond memories, in some cases going back to when Kelly and Christy were still kids. In the past number of years, with all of our busy lives, it has always seemed there was never enough time to get together as often as we would have liked. But we will cherish the many memories we do have.

Go forward Gill, with our love, thoughts and prayers, and the knowledge that you have left us and many others with fond memories and the pleasure that came with knowing you.

To Dan, Kelly, Christy and family, our deepest condolences and a special message from Tatiana who is still in Australia and so will not be able to join the service.

Gill was an important part of so many celebrations and events that I shared with her and her family and friends over nearly 30 years.  It felt like she was my cousin, too!  Her warmth and charm made her both the perfect hostess and welcomed guest!  She was poised and elegant at a recent New Year's get-together at her Aunt Helen's, and this is how I will remember her. I will cherish my memories of Gillian, such a dear friend! Sweet dreams!

Gillie "B" You will always be Gillie "B" to me and all your dear friends you worked with at The Hospital For Sick Children so many years ago. Colleague yes, but friends then and for the past 40 years. Trips together in our single years, marriage, children and so many memories. You blessed me with joy through my journey in life. I will miss you always but will smile when I think of all the memories that we shared.

A loving grandmother! I enjoyed getting to know Gillian as we watched her boys ( grandsons Sammy and Ben) play hockey.

Gill's  life was cut way too short but Gill filled it with love, friendship and humour, and shared them all with family and friends.

As a colleague & fellow golfer of Gillian's, I was so sad to hear of her passing. Gillian's humour & absolutely gracious attitude toward people will be deeply missed.  She's left us with some fond memories -  enjoyed our time (as short as it was) together with lots of laughter & a lovely glass of wine after playing 9 holes at Kettle Creek. My condolences go out to your family - may your memories bring you joy, laughter & peace in your time of sadness.

I remember Gillian especially for her graciousness and hospitality toward her family in the States when we would visit for Aunt Lillian's birthday celebrations and felt very fortunate to have been able to keep in touch with her through Christmas notes and emails. I am saddened to hear about Gillian passing away.
I have known her through her journey with breast cancer: she will always remain in my memory as an example of strength, courage and wisdom in how she navigated through the challenges she faced.

As a colleague at Southlake, I was deeply saddened to hear about the loss of Gill. I would like to give my sincerest condolences to Dan, Kelly, Christy and family. Gill was a kind-hearted, supportive and wonderful nurse and will be truly missed.

They say that you can't take it with you and essentially that is true.

However, the exception is our Gillian. She leaves this world with all of our love and admiration. She will have more thoughts and prayers to carry with her wherever her future journeys meander.

Certainly, a life well lived!!

As the tears subside, we will revere and remember her graciousness and strength of spirit.

Gone too soon  remembered forever.

I was sorry to hear that Gill was called to greater things on the 31st . We hold dear memories of our trip to Canada in the 80's when we had an overnight stay with Gill in her flat.and remember her kindness We met you for a drink and it was very obvious you had met your match with Gill. We are deeply saddened by the loss of our dear and cherished friend Gill. Moving into a new home and a new town 32 years ago, we won the jackpot in meeting our new neighbours, Gill, Dan, Kelly and Christy. They quickly became best friends and extended family. Gill's loss will only be tempered by memories of shared friendship, holidays, family dinners, fine wine and gin tonics.

So very sad to lose a remarkable woman who was much more of a sister to us "Wielhorski girls" than a cousin.  Kindness, caring and compassion were your gifts to all of us. Thank you for your gifts of friendship and strength, Gill. I will miss you very much. Memories of training together at HDH and the good times we shared over the years will stay with me forever.
