David Lloyd Huckle

A resident of Milton, formerly of Aurora, David huckle passed away peacefully at the Glen Hill Terrace Long Term Care in Whitby during the early hours on Friday, October 28, 2022.

He was the son of the late John & Delina Huckle.

David is reunited with his late wife, Dorothy May Huckle (nee Whyte/White) (2012).

Father and stepfather of late Rosemarie (Chicky) and Phill, Michael, Chris, Kevin, Mary, Nancy, Diane, and David.

Cherished Grandfather of Leanne & Dave, Michael & Sandy, Michelle & John, Michael A, Ashley, Aundrea, Krysten, Jennifer, Jeffery, many more grandchildren & great-grandchildren.

Brother of the late Roy Huckle, Clayton Huckle, Betty Jean Horton, Rodney White, Peggy White, & Geraldine White.

Survived by sister-in-law’s, Sherlene Huckle, Ole Huckle, & Annette White

Missed by many nieces, nephews & extended family.

David was a truck delivery driver in his working years, where he met his wife Dorothy delivering food to the Fiesta at Fantasy Farms in Toronto. When David retired, he and Dorothy would escape the winters by driving down to Florida. During the summer, they spent many years at Goreski’s Trailer Park Resort in Port Perry, as well as Cedar beach Resort (Musselman’s lake) in Stouffville. David and Dorothy settled into the senior’s community of Hadley Grange in Aurora, where they enjoyed playing cribbage and euchre and the occasional road trip to the east coast. David moved to Milton in 2012 with his daughter Rose (Chicky) for a few years, before moving to the next chapter of his life at the Retirement home of Martindale gardens (Milton). David was a big part of the Milton retirement community, blessed with friends including Cathy, Isabelle, bob, and many more. In the summer of 2022, David moved to Glen Hill Terrace in Whitby, where he enjoyed watching planes with his granddaughter, going on lunch dates, and brightening the day with his unique humor.

Family to receive friends on Wednesday, November 2nd, 2022, at the Funeral Home, 530 industrial Pkwy S., Aurora at 12:00pm. A Funeral Service will take place at 1:00 pm. Cremation to follow with interment in Aurora Cemetery at a later date.
