Time flies by as they say but time also lingers for those who touch another’s heart. I so enjoyed g group from CFUW and am beyond grateful we crossed paths. Sending George and other CFUW and of course relatives large hugs on this challenging day of remembrance.

My condolences to the family and her friends.  Mrs. Woolley was a teacher of mine in the 1970’s.   I remember her as being very soft spoken, kind and gentle.  I have lived in Aurora for the past 37 years not knowing that she too was here.  I wonder if we unknowingly crossed paths at times, you never know who is about you when you are not looking or aware.  This is a photo from my 1973 year book.

We are so sorry to hear of the passing of your wife and mother, Christine.   We had the pleasure of being neighbours with Christine & George for 16 years in Aurora.   Christine had the most beautiful English garden in the background that was always in bloom - a real natural green thumb - and quite the envy of the neighbourhood.  She was such  a happy woman - always smiling & asking about our children.   We would often hear about her travels during their retirement years and her family.  Christine was so very proud of her children and grandchildren.  She will be missed.   May your precious memories keep you strong at this difficult time.   

Dear George and Family,
Remembering so many happy times with Christine over the years.  Most of our meetings were celebrations of various kinds, Christmas, Easter, birthdays in Peterborough or Aurora and on holidays at the cottage on Clear Lake, in Florence with Alison, and in Edinburgh at Woolley and Sinclair luncheons with a lovely view of Edinburgh castle.  Other memories include the pink delphiniums she brought to my garden for Anna and Drew's wedding, a beautiful apple tart and all the other great meals
she cooked for us and, of course, her lovely garden.
Christine was a lovely, kind and sweet person.  We were all lucky to have had her in our lives.

Christine was a darling    You  just loved her if you knew her...She was gentle ,sweet, a marvellous baker, but quite feisty in a nice way..  She loved the game of bridge and was an excellent partner..I was always happy to have her partner....I  think of her often and smile in remembrance of her charm.

Chris, Nicole, Joe and I send our love to the family at this time.  We are deeply saddened by the passing of Auntie Christine.  Chris and I have many fond memories of spending time with Auntie Christine as children at the cottage and getting together for many family meals.  I always knew that I would have a job in the kitchen to help get everything ready, such as rolling the crescent rolls for everyone to enjoy.  We will miss Auntie Christine's warm and caring spirit and will cherish these and other memories.  Our thoughts and prayers are with the family at this time.

I first met Christine over 25 years ago when our CFUW vegetarian gourmet interest group was convened. What a delightfully modest, funny, generous person she was and still maintaining her Scottish lilt just added to her charm. She welcomed us to her lovely home and garden for our veggie group gatherings. I am sure her legacy will be one of love for family, friends, food and the companionship of pets( poodles in particular). You enriched our lives Christine. Rest In Peace.

Richard and I were saddened to hear of Christine’s passing. Our memories of her are of an always cheerful and positive person, with  a lovely warm smile! I was very sad to hear of Christine's passing. She was very much a part of my "bridge" life for many years.  Eileen Jones, Sylvia Thompson and I used to have a foursome with Christine  for bridge about once a month in each others' houses.  We were often joined by Carolynn Liddy.

I’m very sorry to hear of Christines passing. I was fortunate to be a member of her gourmet CFUW vegetarian group for many years. It was there that she shared so much with me as a junior member. We were both educators and I was grateful for her many life lessons and of course cooking expertise that was evident in our potluck meals and so much more. Thanks George for being a gracious host on our potluck meetings, I enjoyed your many kindnesses also.
