Dr. Carl Wesley Wyse

October 9, 1936 to December 10, 2016

Died comfortably in the presence of family. He was a gentle, caring, sensitive man who gave unconditional love and support to those he cherished.

Predeceased early by his beloved first wife, Sally Sihler, Carl is survived by his loving wife Lynda, children Jeannie (Michael Grieco) and Rob (Lisa Hudson), and step-children Alex Ahmet (Hadi Helbawi) and Byron Ahmet (Sarah). He took delight in his grandchildren Gabrielle and Leonardo Grieco and his step grandchildren, Ara and Adalyn Helbawi and Dylan and Blake Ahmet.

Born in Hamilton, Ontario and raised in Simcoe, Carl was predeceased by his parents Beatrice and Clifford Wyse and his sister Margaret Durrant. He is survived by his brother-in-law Dennis Durrrant and nephew Anthony. Carl went on to study medicine at the University of Western Ontario where he met many of his life-long friends. Carl was a good and kind person who lived a full and accomplished life.

Former Chief of Dermatology at Sunnybrook Health Sciences, he chose a clinical practice in place of an administrative career. A consummate clinician, Dr. Wyse observed and listened to his patients with unwavering focus, always looking beyond the obvious. He was highly esteemed by his colleagues.

There will be a celebration of his life on Saturday, January 14 at 2:00 at the Metropolitan Community Church 115 Simpson Avenue, Toronto (Broadview and Gerrard).
