Mary Christine “Chris” Daniels, was born February 10th, 1934, in Parkersburg, WV. She was the 6th of 11 children, born to Martha and Chester Woollard. All her siblings preceded her in death, with her brother Don, the last to precede her last year. Don's passing was hard on her, but she took solace in staying connected with his wife Carole and their daughters, Jan, and Pam.
Chris went to Nursing school and was so proud that she was a nurse for over 40 years and specialized in pediatric nursing. She loved telling stories of her days as a student nurse, running an entire ward. She made many lasting friendships that she cherished. In 1959, she married Rollin and they traveled to Germany. From there they moved to Columbus, Ohio, where Eric was born, and then to Ft. Leonard Wood Missouri where Sue was born. Lance was born in Parkersburg WV, while Rollin was in Vietnam. Chris lived quite an exciting life traveling, working and volunteering. She inspired one of her nieces to follow in her nursing footsteps as she thought Aunt Christine was so glamorous. Chris always adapted quickly and made new friends along the way, some of them lifelong. Some of the most notable were, Annie & Wayne, Zelma, Gwen, with Toni and Betty regularly visiting Chris up until her passing.
Chris was preceded in death by her beloved son Eric Daniels. Those left to cherish her memory include her daughter Sue (Tom) Loehrer; son Lance (Cherry) Daniels; 6 grandsons, one granddaughter, and a host of other relatives and friends. Chris loved her grandchildren and was always interested in what was happening in their lives.
Chris enjoyed visiting dear friends and fellow residents in her community. Over the years, Chris enjoyed traveling with her sister Kathryn, cooking, the mountains, singing (especially hymns) and her dog Tobey who was always good company for her as age slowed her down. Chris will be greatly missed by all who loved her.
