Jeannine Rae Kays was born in Grand Forks, North Dakota on March 4, 1945, to Bob and Iva Scott. She has two sisters, Liz Jorgenson and Vera Wixo, and one brother, Dell Scott.
She attended Larimore High School. After graduating she attended Aaker Business School where she received a Business Certificate. Shortly after, she was offered a ride by her soon to be husband, Donald Vincent Kays. After dating for a year, they were married on May 1, 1965. 58 years of married life, of which the last 25 years she has been extremely dependent on her husband’s ever-loving care during so many health and physical challenges. After carrying the many crosses, Jeannine has been called home and now sleeps the good sleep and is out of the pains of this world.
Donald and Jeannine have three children Lisa Ann Kays (Deceased November 9, 2012), Daniel Joseph Kays, and Jeremy Scott Kays. They have four grandchildren, Harlie Ann Kays (daughter of Jeremy Kays and Mary Feyereisen); Andrew John Kays, Maxwell Bennett Kays, and Nicholas James Kays (sons of Daniel Kays and Laura Lorona-Kays)
Jeannine was preceded in death by her parents Bob and Iva Scott.
Jeannine kept in touch with so many family and friends. She always remembered their stories and never was without a card to send. She will be missed, but never forgotten.
