Jack Groen, was a loving and devoted husband, father, son, brother, and friend. He left us peacefully on May 25, 2024, at the age of 82.
Jack was born on January 14, 1942, to Henry and Wilma Groen. After high school, Jack enlisted in the United States Army where he proudly completed his tour of duty and continued to serve as a reservist after his discharge. Jack also proudly worked 31 years as a Geological Technician for the United States Geological Survey, where his dedication and expertise made a lasting impact. In his spare time, Jack enjoyed looking for and working with rocks, gardening, reading, and camping.
Jack is survived by his devoted wife Bonnie, with whom he shared 58 cherished years, his loving children, Ruth and Ken, and his sister Betty.
Jack will be laid to rest with military honors at Fort Logan National Cemetery in Denver, CO, a fitting tribute to his service and commitment to his country.
