From December 17, 1922, Carl lived his life “one day at a time” for over 101 years. Always content to “see how it goes”, he relished every single day.
Carl was proud to be a Veteran of WWII. He will forever be an American hero, having copiloted B24 Liberator Bombers in defense of our European allies as well as making a career in service to our nation as Master Sergeant for the US Air Force.
After the war, Carl married the love of his life, Therese Sedlmier of Munich, Germany. Together for 56 years, they raised two fine sons, Kenneth and Edward.
In retirement, Carl and Therese thoroughly enjoyed traveling the world. However, Carl’s Aurora home since 1958 was always his favorite place to be.
Sadly, Carl lost Therese, Ken and Ed way too soon.
Carl is survived by his grandchildren, Katie Kreiser of Lakewood, CO, Natalie Kreiser of Arvada, CO, and Toren Elsen of Aiken, SC, by Ken’s widow, Janice Haines of Erie, CO, and by Carl’s living siblings, Dick Kreiser of Walnut Creek, CA, Merlin “Buster” Kreiser of Blue Springs, MO, Mary Risser and Glenn Kreiser, both of Anneville, PA, as well as by a generational multitude of nieces, nephews and cousins descended from Carl’s birth family of 10 kids, of which Carl is the eldest.
Also, Carl is being sorely missed by his companion of many years, Mathilde Thomas, now of Loveland, CO. The family acknowledges and sincerely thanks Mathilde for the happiness and loving care she provided for Carl throughout his waning years.
