Brandi Lynn Cunningham, also known to her family and friends as "Pie or Pie Pie" and "Red" to her father was 42 Years old and of Aurora, Colorado. She passed away Thursday, April 29, 2021 in Aurora, Colorado.
Brandi was born on Wednesday, August 30, 1978 at St. Luke's Hospital in Denver, Colorado to brand new parents Jim and Mel Cunningham. As the test model she got all the nervous bramblings and foolish mistakes young parents are prone to. She bore it well and loved us anyway.
She especially loved her papa and nana John and Iris Lovato. And her Grandpa and Grammie Robert and Mary Cunningham. Brandi was surrounded by so many loving aunts, uncles and cousins. Her love and commitment to family started at a young age.
Soon Brandi was a big sister to Heather and Natalie and she took her role very seriously. Besides her great love for family, Brandi loved animals. Brandi's love of animals started very early in life. Dog's, cat's and horses she loved them all. She often had a small can or two of cat food in her purse to make sure no kitty was hungry. And she was very insistent the home cats have "wetsies" in their diet, NOT just "cereal." If a new treat or toy was available Brandi would pick it up for the pets. They had a little treat drawer in fact.
As well as the animal part of the family was treated, the humans fared even better. Besides surprising family members with treats. Brandi enjoyed cooking large meals. Often becoming a short order cook to make sure everyone's needs were satisfied and she cleaned up afterwards.
Brandi attended the neighborhood schools of Paris Elementary, Montview Elementary, North Middle School and Aurora Central High School graduating in 1996. She had been researching going back to school as a esthetician.
Loving people as she did, she always was employed in the service industry careers. The last was at a grocery chain braving the last year of "Covid Times" going to work to make sure people had their supplies of life.
Brandi enjoyed crafting and was especially handy with the glue gun. She was patient with younger crafters and enjoyed setting up projects for them to create.
Brandi favored old movies, several TV sitcoms, all music, reading, and several You Tube Bloggers. She liked gardening and visiting with people, neighbors, friends, even strangers. She liked hearing about peoples lives and experiences. Brandi never knew a stranger long, drawing people into her circle. When she was able Brandi liked to attend her auntie's church on Sundays.
Brandi is survived by her parents; sisters, Heather, Natalie and Haydee; her beloved nieces, Ciela, Autumn, Mirage and Ivy; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins of bloodline and heartline relation.
We will be having a Celebration of Brandi's life in August of 2021. A cookout / picnic in the park to share our memories and love for Brandi and the times we had with her.
