Roland "Buddy" Tucker

Buddy Tucker was born in 1945 in Panama City, Florida and was a member of the Blythe Baptist Church in Blythe, Georgia.

In his early years, Buddy was a proud U.S. Army Airborne Paratrooper and later started the process of earning his pilot’s license.

Buddy was a Master Carpenter who went on to start his own construction company. Over the 50+ years of building countless homes for families, he passed his skills and expertise down to his children and many family members.

Patti and Buddy met in 1977 and their love quickly bloomed. Since that day, they have never stopped loving each other. Together, they have traveled to many places around the country and world.

Buddy deeply loved his wife, family and friends. He showed his love best with his warm and comforting hugs. His favorite place to be was barefoot on the beach, relaxing by the pool on a cruise, or soaking up the sunshine outdoors.

Buddy is survived by his wife of 32 years, Patti Tucker, his children Duane Tucker (and wife, Debbie), Steven Tucker, Stephanie Cartin, Jodi Dixon, and Sonny Arthur, and his grandchildren Brittany, Christopher, Jeanene, Ashley, Brandon, Amanda, Shianne, Hannah, Christian, Josiah, Alan, Rachael (and husband, Tyler), Joshua, as well as his eleven great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Blythe Baptist Church.

The funeral service will be held at Blythe Baptist Church on Monday, November 21st, 2022 at 1:00 pm.
