Mrs. Mary Louise Rogers, 79, of Augusta passed away Monday, October 3, 2011. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend. Mary enjoyed crocheting, quilting and delighted in cooking for her family and friends. Mary was a member of St. Mary’s on the Hill Catholic Church.
Mrs. Rogers was preceded in death by her two sons, Charles James Malcom, Jr. and John Michael Malcom. She is survived by her beloved husband, Jim “Yank” Rogers; daughter, Martha Parker; son and daughter-in-law, Chris and Susan Malcom; sister, Anne Hoffman; seven grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; and her dear companion, Two Spot.
The family will receive friends Thursday from 1 until 2 PM at the funeral home.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 3 PM, Thursday, October 6, 2011 at St. Mary’s on the Hill Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Alzheimer’s Association, 1899 Central Avenue, Augusta, Georgia 30906.
