He was born on October 11, 1942, in Augusta, GA, a son of the late Herman Leroy and Helen Cheek Crouch. He attended Augusta schools and was a graduate of Georgia Southern University. While at Georgia Southern; as a pitcher on a baseball scholarship, the team became National Champions in 1962. He served in the Army Reserves for 4 years. He retired from Securitas Security Services in 2010 after dedicating 36 years of service. He continued to contract with Securitas for several years after retirement continuing to oversee the security for the Masters Tournament at Augusta National for 42+ years. He also handled security for the Heritage Golf Tournament in Hilton Head, SC for many years. In addition, he oversaw security for two Rider Cup Tournaments, US Open Tournaments, Nascar Races as well as a few Grammy and Oscar Award shows in L.A.
Survivors include his daughter, Stacey Mullis and her husband, Randy; son, Tracy Crouch and his wife, Lindsay; Grandchildren, Hunter Mullis; Drew Mullis and wife Kaliegh;
brother, Ronnie Crouch and wife Teresa; sisters, Denise McWhorter and Joyce Thomas.
