James Bobby Anderson Sr.

Mr. Anderson retired from the United States of America Army after 24 years of service. He served in Vietnam and received a Purple Heart while serving there. He also retired from the postal service. He loved to fish and listen to music, especially country and gospel. Mr. Anderson was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend to many.

Mr. Anderson is preceded in death by his parents, Buford and Flora Anderson; and brother, Wayne Anderson. Survivors include his loving wife of 61 years, Josephine Anderson; children, Belinda Vaughn (Kenneth), James B Anderson Jr. (Dorothy), Dave Anderson (Nancy); siblings, Clint Anderson (Chris), Faye Ladd and Pamela Quirk; grandchildren, Ginger Vaughn, Justin Anderson, Andrew Anderson, Jennifer King (Adam), Samuel Stojan and Nathan Stojan; great-grandchildren, Gabriel Smith and Aiden Anderson.

Funeral services will be at 2pm, Wednesday, December 26, 2018 at the Lumpkin Road Chapel of Elliott Sons Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 12 until the hour of service. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park. Family will serve as pallbearers for Mr. Anderson at the funeral home and Military will serve as pallbearers at the cemetery.
