He was born on March 24, 1937 in Mountain City, TN, a son of the late Dewey and Virginia Isaac Widener.
Bobby served his country in the United States Navy.
He is preceded in death by his parents Dewey and Virginia Widener; sisters, Wanda Boeker and Mary Tester; brothers, Carl Widener and Jimmy Widener; granddaughter, Cassandra Johnson.
Left to cherish Bobby’s memory are his wife, Denise Johnson Widener of Augusta, GA; sons, Kevin Widener ( Jessica) of Los Angeles, CA and Nick Johnson (Michelle) of Pensacola, FL; grandchildren, Nicholas, Caelan and Michael.
The family would like to thank Regency Hospice, Laura Jenkins and Ronnie Voss for the excellent care they provided to Bobby during his illness.
A memorial service will be held at 12:00pm, Friday, October 21, 2022 at Good News Church. 400 Warren Road, Augusta, GA 30907. A fellowship luncheon will be served after the service. Friends invited.
