Willie Leon Jones was a man of simple pleasures, especially towards the end of his life. He enjoyed quiet moments fishing and working on carpentry, and surprised his family by his display of art creations at the Westminster Home where he lived that last two years. He always had a smile on his face and really never let you know if he wasn't feeling good. Even there at the end, he visibly wasn't doing well and you'd ask him if he was okay, to which he would respond, "Yes." He was a kind and gentle soul that paired very well with his wife, Anita, who also has a heart of gold. He will be missed dearly.
Willie is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Anita Kay Jones; daughter Tina Nixon (Mark); brother Cecil Jones; sisters Carolyn Harris and Linda Newberry Grant (Marvin). He was preceded in death by his parents Willie Thomas Jones and Ocie Lee Jones; step mother Elizabeth Jones; and brother Norman Jones.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Epic Faith Fellowship Church, 117 E Bridgers Ave, Auburndale, Florida 33823 on Saturday, November 16th at 1:00 PM.
