Nancy Dianne Bluemke, age 68, of Lake Wales, FL passed away Saturday, November 3, 2018. She was born June 28, 1950 in Franklin, OH the daughter of Robert Finley Worley and Harriett Ann (Lisle) Worley. She was a member of Grace Lutheran Church in Winter Haven, FL. Besides being a loving wife, mother and grandmother, Nancy was a farmer, CNA and paraprofessional in the school system.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her grandparents: William Worley and Allie Mae (Mitchell) Worley, Bishop Lisle Jr. and Mable (Strain) Lisle; son: James Bluemke, sister: Evelyn Krause and brother-in-law Emil Krause, brother-in-law: William Loock, and sister-in-law: Eileen Worley.
She is survived by her husband of 49 years, Gregory Lee Bluemke, children: Tracy Bluemke, Christopher Bluemke and wife Toni, Robert Bluemke and wife Kristin, grandchildren: Derek Bluemke (Rachel), Justin Curie, Kayla Walburn (Justin), Sophia Bluemke, Julia Bluemke, Emerson Bluemke and Elliot Bluemke.
A dedicated and loving wife, mother and friend to all, Nancy enjoyed spending time with friends and family to play games—in particular cards. While “cheating” was never proven, her kids and grandkids knew to watch any game closely. She loved to travel and shared many adventures with her family. Alaska, Hawaii and the Caribbean were destination favorites.
Nancy looked forward to the holidays as holidays—meant—family. Countless hours in the kitchen preparing meals brought together laughs, stories and the ongoing fight to make it to the big kids’ table. She often referred to items by calling them a thingamajig, doohickey, whatchamacallit or dumeaflatcher leaving grandkids scratching their heads as to what exactly the item was. While wordsmithing is accepted at grandma’s house, the kids found out that schools prefer to use actual words. As a child of God, she was a dedicated Christen and was committed to raising her family with good morals and values. She enjoyed daily devotions, fellowship and crossed off a “bucket list” item by visiting the Ark Encounter in Kentucky before she passed.
May the good Lord watch over you and give you peace.
Visitation is Tuesday, November 6, 2018 from 2-3 pm with services at 3 pm, both at the Grace Lutheran Church, 327 Avenue C, SE, Winter Haven, FL 33880.
