Emily was born September 11, 1935 in East Chicago, Indiana to Ethel Marie Ostrom and Oscar Martin Kroon. She was baptized as an infant into the Lutheran Church. At age 5, Emily moved with her family to Griffith, Indiana, then in 1946 at the age of 11, the family moved again to Paxton, Illinois. While still living in Illinois Emily attended business school and worked for a variety of companies. In 1962 she moved to Winter Haven, Florida and began attending Immanuel Lutheran Church, where she met and married Richard Kuehne in 1963. Together they welcomed four children and were blessed to be able to provide them with a Christian education.
As the years progressed, Emily was extremely devoted to her children, grandchildren, and to her faith, continuing to attend Immanuel Lutheran Church for many years.
Emily leaves her devoted husband of 58 years, Richard Kuehne; daughter Janice Kinser (Scott); daughter Lisa Kuehne; son John Kuehne (Christy); and daughter Cheryl Geiger (Bryan); 11 grandchildren: Tyler Kinser, Katie Kinser, Jack Geiger, Addison Geiger, Megan Kuehne, Michael Kuehne (Kaitlin), Mitchell Kuehne, Maverick Kuehne, Mason Kuehne, Madison Kuehne and Maxwell Kuehne.
Emily was preceded in death by her parents, Oscar Martin Kroon and Ethel Marie Kroon.
