Rick Shrader, 80, of Plant City, Florida, entered into rest on November 17, 2024. Born on August 1, 1944, Rick was a graduate of Winter Haven High School, then went on to serve his country with honor in the 82nd Airborne Division of the U.S. Army.
After his military service, Rick worked for many years at the IMCF phosphate mines. Outside of work, Rick was an avid fisherman and enjoyed spending time by the water and also gambling.
Rick is survived by his children Mike Shrader, Jeff Shrader, Tina (Denny) Leistner, Kathee Wright, and Scott (Stan) Troelsen; one sister, Bonnie (Harold) Williams, and two grandchildren, Shane and Marcus Wright. Rick was preceded in death by his wife Doreen Shrader, parents Doris and Donovan Shrader, and son and daughter in law, Kevin Troelsen and Peggy.
A graveside service for Rick will be held Wednesday, November 20, 2024 at 3:00 PM at Glen Abbey Memorial Gardens, 2200 K-Ville Ave, Auburndale, Florida 33823.
Memorials in Rick’s memory may be made to the Disabled Veterans Association.
