Auburn - Mrs. Ruth M. Nelson 95 of 539 Turner St. died Tuesday August 24, 2010 at the Hospice House of Androscoggin Home Care & Hospice. She was born in Lewiston, May 27, 1915 a daughter of Harry M. & Eulila D. Faunce Milliken. She graduated from Edward Little High School in the Class of 1933. She married Werner R. Nelson on April 24, 1936. They enjoyed 66 years together. Mrs. Nelson was a long standing member of the Court Street Baptist Church and worked as a secretary at Bates College and at the family business Androscoggin Die Co. She enjoyed crocheting, knitting and doing crafts. She loved spending time with family. Ruth will be remembered for being a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She is survived by her children: a son David R and his wife Janet Nelson of Auburn, a daughter Sandra R. Martin of Auburn, a son Mark R. and his wife Aloise Nelson of Turner. Grandchildren: Christopher and his wife Alison Nelson of Minot, Angela and her husband Jeff Knox of Saco, Sharon and her husband Richard Schwirian (Hermine, Penn) Julianne Greenawalt ( Irwin, Penn) Timothy Martin ( No Irwin, Penn) Dean and Terrie Nelson (Fl) great grandchildren: Michael Nelson and fiancée Tara Smith (Me) Kera Knox (Me) Khela Knox (Me) Vanessa Knox (Me) Christopher Schwirian (Penn) Katrina Schwirian (Penn) Jeremiah Greenawalt (Penn) Lauren Greenawalt (Penn) Brenden Nelson (Fl) Dillin Nelson (Fl) Plus several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Werner, May14, 2002, two brothers Vernon and Harry Milliken , and an infant sister. The family wishes to thank Androscoggin Home Health and Hospice.
