Auburn - Maurice A. Levesque, 87 of Poland, passed away Wednesday, May 10, at The Hospice House with his family at his side. He was born in Lisbon on September 11, 1935, a son of the late Edward and Deneige (Lizotte) Levesque. He was educated in local schools and then went on to proudly serve his country in the US Air Force during the Korean Conflict.
Moe married his true love, Gertrude D. Morin, on September 14, 1957. Together, they had one son, Donald. Moe worked for Jolly Post Caterers and Bath Iron Works. Following his retirement, he mowed lawns at Gracelawn Memorial Park. He enjoyed camping, fishing and golfing.
He is survived by his two grandchildren, Scott Levesque of Lewiston and Sarah Levesque of Portland, and his daughter-in-law, Susan Levesque of Lewiston. He is predeceased by his wife Gertrude, son Donald Levesque, and brother Laurier.
The family would like to thank Scott and Danielle Fraser and the staff at Gracelawn, and Dr. H. Singh and the staff of C2 at St. Mary's.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday 5/17/23 at 11 Am at The Basilica of Ss. Peter & Paul (Lower Chapel). Committal will follow at Gracelawn Memorial Park. Arrangements are under the direction of The Fortin Group Funeral Homes 217 Turner St. Auburn 783-8545.
