Donald J Roberts

Donald J. Roberts, age 91, of Auburn Hills, died Sunday, January 3, 2021, at Wellbridge of Clarkston. Left to cherish his memory are his children: Mark (Jennifer) Roberts, and Dawn (Marc) McLaughlin; and his two granddaughters: Ashley and Sara Ortwine.

Donald was born November 11, 1929, in Royal Oak, the son of Mr. & Mrs. Leonard and Dorothy (Polson) Roberts. He married Donna Trice in 1954, and the two of them shared fifty-eight wonderful years together until Donna’s death in 2012. Donald proudly served his country in the United States Army from 1951 until 1953. Upon his honorable discharge, Donald became a mechanic, working at Pat Moran Oldsmobile GMC for many years until his retirement in 1995. In his free time, Donald enjoyed going on trips to the casino with his wife, and going bowling. However, most of all, Donald enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He will be greatly missed.

Donald was preceded in death by his parents, Leonard and Dorothy; his wife, Donna; and his three brothers: Harold Hunt, Gerald Hunt, and Wendal (Bud) Roberts.

A private burial service will take place for Donald at White Chapel Cemetery in Troy. No public funeral services have been scheduled at this time.
