Loving daughter of David Daily; dear sister of John (Shaun Seibel) Daily, Bill (Maureen) Daily, and Sue (Ray) Martinez; caring aunt of Liam Daily, Kevin and Emily Daily, and Liz and David Martinez. Denise was predeceased by her mother Avril (Daley) Daily.
Denise was born in Detroit, Michigan on January 18, 1953. She graduated from Schafer High School in Southgate, Michigan and attended the University of Michigan. Denise worked for the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services. She retired in 2016 after 40 years of service.
Denise loved her family. Her happiest times were spent celebrating holidays, weddings, graduations, family vacations and the births of her adored nieces and nephews. She was the favorite aunt of several canine nieces and nephews. Denise had a passion for music. Denise was an accomplished oboe player in high school and enjoyed attending Interlochen Center for the Arts for several summers. As an adult she played in the Southfield Symphony.
Denise’s family will welcome all to a visitation on Friday April 5th, 2019 from 3-8pm and on Saturday from 11am until the time of funeral service at noon at Pixley Funeral Home, located at 3530 Auburn Rd in Auburn Hills, Michigan.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Denise’s honor to “Interlochen Center for the Arts”. Please write “Denise Daily Scholarship” in the memo of the check. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
